I’m Graeme Thompson, a Registered Clinical Counsellor with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and over six years of experience helping individuals and couples navigate life’s toughest challenges.
Therapy works best when it there is a good connection between us, a strong idea of where things are going, and belief that we can get there — it's somewhere you can bring your whole self to be accepted fully, to learn, to grow. My approach is flexible and grounded in evidence-based methods including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Humanistic Approaches, Existential Therapy and Philosophy, and Internal Family Systems. With couples, I draw primarily from the Gottman therapeutic framework. I specialize in treating Insomnia and Behavioural sleep challenges with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia.
Clients often tell me they appreciate my calm, encouraging presence. I’m here not to give you quick fixes, but to walk alongside you—helping you build practical tools, reconnect with your values, and move toward lasting change.
